Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a mixed race British-Nigerian child was born into an ethnically diverse family from South London. Madekwe is English, and her father is Nigerian. She was a student at The Brit School when she was 14. She attended an academy called the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London which she graduated with an BA in acting. At the academy was when she performed in various stage productions, such as King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage. Since then, she's made guest appearances in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film role was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. Following that success her role was Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as appearing in six episodes of Trexx and Flipside playing Ollie. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi part on the ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She appeared in two series, 2 and 3. Madekwe was also the title character in How to lose friends & make people feel alienated, which was released by Sony Pictures Entertainment in the year 2008. Performance credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe first aired in the US by presenting The Beautiful Life. The drama series ran in the US on The CW for only two episodes before being cancelled. In February, she was cast 2011, as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Following her appearance as a regular on the initial two seasons it was announced in May 2013 that Madekwe was set to leave the show after her appearance on the pilot episode in the season's third. In 2014 and 2016, she starred as Tituba the television series Salem. Madekwe and her partner who has been with her for a long time, Iddo Goldenberg, were wed in June of 2012. They've worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he was a character on the show Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress who was raised in a big family. She was the daughter of Roy and Patty Leggat.
