Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe, a mixed race British-Nigerian child was born into an ethnically diverse family from South London. Madekwe is English, and her father is Nigerian. She was a student at The Brit School when she was 14. She attended an academy called the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London which she graduated with an BA in acting. At the academy was when she performed in various stage productions, such as King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.

In 2008, she was offered the Bambi part on the ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She appeared in two series, 2 and 3. Madekwe was also the title character in How to lose friends & make people feel alienated, which was released by Sony Pictures Entertainment in the year 2008.
